The graphic novel is a book length comic book also known as graphic books, and sometimes trade paperbacks. The graphic novel often contains a full story arc originally serialized in comic books, or an all new original story, or an anthology. Many of today's biggest Hollywood blockbuster movies are based on graphic novels, including The Dark Knight, Sin City, 300, Watchmen and Road to Perdition, to name a few. Many graphic books have achieve d esteemed status and won prestigious awards based on literary and artistic merit. Art Spiegleman's Maus won the Pulitzer prize, and Watchmen is listed on "Time's All-Time 100 Greatest Novels list", to name just two such titles. There are lots of TV and Film related books, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and everything by Joss Whedon.
