In the past Superman has been the foundation of the squad while Batman has served as the lone wolf of the bunch. In this storyline Batman appears to be the older, wiser character whereas Green Lantern & Superman appear to be more youthful and wreckless in nature. Is it possible Batman will become the leader of this team and serve as a mentor similar to those long lost days of the Outsiders? Its too early to tell but it would definetly add an interesting dynamic.
