   Teen Titans Vol 4 #4,1/9/2012 10:53:53 PM

I must admit, as a Teen Titans (mostly Bart/Young Justice) fan, I was quite worried about what the relaunch would mean for my favorite characters. I also must admit that I was quite emotional while reading my favorite characters meet for the first time (all the while screaming in my head,"REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS! PLEASE REMEMBER!"). Yet, I was pleasantly surprised by how well Lobdell handled the situation. And congratulations on recapturing some of the Bart/Impulse-ness that was lost halfway through Teen Titans volume 3. The younger/older brother relationship between Tim and Bart was lovely and this issue left me begging for issue 5. Congratulations, Lobdell (and not to mention Booth for the amazing artwork), you have gained my trust and I feel these characters are somewhat safe in your hands.

I'm a bit iffy on this one. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the issue and even laughed out loud once or twice. However, this issue isn't exactly a masterpiece. Lobdell gives the characters some stereotypical 'teen' aspects; Wondergirl being an angsty, gorgeous, gal with some anger management issues, Kid Flash being a cocky little punk (something that especially bothers me, being a huge Bart fan), and Red Robin...well, actually I didn't find much wrong with Tim (score 1 to Mr. Lobdell). I hope to see some character development in the next few issues which I will be reading/ reviewing soon. So I'd say just to buy the issue. It is worth the 3 bucks. (PS please get Bart's hair/eye color right and please make his hair a bit longer!!)
