Action Comics Vol 2 #1 Cover A 1st Ptg Regular Rags Morales Cover,2/2/2012 6:47:03 PM
This was a very impressive way to start the series! This incarnation of the Man of Steel's beginning is very entertaining because we see a new side of Superman. Yes this Superman may deliver his own brand of justice and he may be cocky and not abide by the law, but Clark couldn't always be the ideal superhero of DC fans have seen can he? He needed to start somewhere, and that's why this comic is a great introduction to what made Superman who he is. At this point Clark is not with Lois, nor is he working at the Daily Planet as of yet, so this #1 is a perfect place to start and I can't wait to see where Morrison takes it from there. This is a must-buy pick up yours today! :)
Detective Comics Vol 2 #5 Regular Tony Daniel Cover,2/2/2012 6:49:55 PM
This issue of Detective Comics is different from the others because the comic is split into two different stories, which is interesting, but not exactly for the best. Interesting, but not as good as a few of the others. Think before you buy!
Action Comics Vol 2 #5 Cover A Regualr Andy Kubert Cover,2/2/2012 6:53:11 PM
Action Comics does not disappoint! This re-telling (yes, again DC fans) is great. It shows a re-imagined Planet Krypton, a new look for Jor-El, and a little more story on what the Kents have been through before Kal-El's arrival. Definitely a must-have for Superman fans!
Action Comics Vol 2 #3 Cover B Variant Gene Ha Cover,3/25/2012 9:07:29 PM
This was a great issue of Action Comics. Morrison uses this issue to give some background on the disaster of Krypton, and and also shows how Clark is recovering from his previous encounter with the military. The cover by Gene Ha is an added bonus worth every penny. Great read!!
Justice League Vol 2 #7 1st Ptg Regular Jim Lee Cover,3/25/2012 9:12:31 PM
Another great issue of Justice League, and Johns doesn't disappoint! The story picks up in present day, 5 years after the encounter with Darkseid. This new arc hits the ground running, and seeing the way the team interacts and fights together is great. The Shazam! mini-feature beginning this issue shows much promise, with Captain Marvel donning a remodeled costume and a new origin story. Great issue go out and get it!
Justice League Vol 2 #12 1st Ptg Regular Jim Lee Cover,9/9/2012 6:07:38 PM
This comic was PHENOMENAL!! Jim Lee's artwork was stunning and is getting better by the issue. Geoff Johns' storywriting is flawless as usual. This issue is a must fan for collectors and really gets the fans into the new superhero couple of the age. Midtown Comics packaged and delivered perfectly. Not even the slightest crease. MUST BUY!!
Justice League Vol 2 #0 Regular Gary Frank Cover,9/19/2012 7:32:17 PM
This was one of the greatest comic books I have read in a while. Geoff Johns continues his flawless streak to bring us the completion of the Shazam origin story. A new take on the character of Billy Batson is welcome, as all heroes truly have flaws, and his will eventually lead him to be the Shazam we grew to love in years past. The illustrations are gorgeous, the costume redesign is gorgeous. The Shazam story ends in a manner that opens the character up for a very promising future. There are also interesting surprises after the Shazam story that might make us wish it was already 2013! This is a must have for collectors and fans alike. SHAZAM!
Batman Vol 2 #13 Cover B Variant Greg Capullo Cover (Death Of The Family Tie-In),10/10/2012 8:37:08 PM
This issue is beyond words. Scott Snyder has set a dark tone for Batman for the New 52, but this issue takes it to the next level. It is a MUST-HAVE for fans and collectors. Your jaw will drop upon reading this. The future of Batman is in excellent hands.
