"DUTY. HONOR. COUNTRY.
Three words that resound in the heart of the warrior. But where is honor when freedom has been supplanted by tyranny? What is the duty of a warrior when country is lost?
For Lieutenant General Michael O'Neal, the choice is clear. With the Federation still a shambles after the Posleen invasion, preventing the recovery of the Posleen and protecting humanity from their scourge is paramount. Any action, no matter how distasteful, fulfills the constraints of duty.
For his estranged daughter Cally and his father Papa O'Neal, battling the stranglehold of the alien Darhel Clan Corporations is not only duty, it's a way of life. Cally's one regret is that she's only been allowed to kill one Darhel.
When a fundamental betrayal threatens the basis of the rebel Bane Sidhe underground, it is the duty of Cally and Papa to fight back and cover the retreat of the key Indowy leadership.
When a betrayal so vast it threatens the very foundations of the Federation is revealed to Michael O'Neal, it is his clear duty to eliminate it.
And then diamond meets diamond.
One way or the other, the Honor of the Clan will be fulfilled."
