Working in television, film, and even Broadway, Gary appeared as "Frank Poole" in Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, today considered one of the finest films ever made. In addition to a head sculpted to recreate his likeness in the 1960s, the new, jointed, male body from Phicen Ltd. is 3D CAD computer designed and made of extremely durable PVC & ABS plastic with more than 40 points of articulation, posing hands, a carefully painted skin texture and improved leg & ankle joints for extra stability. His removable astronaut suit includes an oxygen tank, a front control unit, a space helmet with connecting hoses, metal connector rings and interchangeable hands (gloved and regular). The figure comes with a display stand with printed logo and full-color packaging.
