Hajime Kindaichi, the brilliant but underachieving high school junior, decides to join a TV crew to work on a 'hidden camera' style horror show. It sounded like fun: putting an unsuspecting actress in a situation that mirrors the well-known local myth, 'The Legend of Yukiyasha,' and filming her as she gets the life scared out of her.
