The Billy the Kid character made his first appearance in Masked Raider - Billy the Kid - Western Outlaw #6-8 (February-July 1957). With regular backup features included Bounty Hunter Shawn O'Meara, Tenderfoot Sheriff John Lind, Mr. Young of the Boothill Gazette, and Apache Red. Then taking over the numbering of Masked Raider, with Billy the Kid: Western Outlaw #9 (November 1957) and running for another 147 issues until its eventual demise in issue #153 March 1983. Collects Masked Rider #6-8 (February-July 1957) and Billy the Kid #9-10 (November-December 1957).
