Edu Manga Hellen Adams Keller GN

Description

“Edu-Manga” is a term coined in Japan for educational manga or comics. In this new line of books from Digital Manga, the extraordinary lives of historical giants are retold in a unique format that younger readers can easily understand and enjoy. Kids will appreciate the added flavor that Japanese manga-style storytelling provides, and as it was originally published from right to left. Astro Boy, one of Japan’s most popular icons among children, journeys alongside the reader. He provides the kids not only a history lesson, but also a richer understanding of the life lessons these historical figures share with us. Helen Keller was robbed of her sight, hearing, and speech at an early age due to a childhood illness. Nevertheless she overcame her disabilities with the love and tenacious teachings of her tutor Anne Sullivan and the encouragement of other individuals such as Alexander Graham Bell. This is the courageous story she left behind. Join Astro Boy and his friends as they learn what it’s like to live without something we take for granted everyday.
