Description

Julie wants a dog more than anything in the world, but her parents will not let her have one until she's old enough to walk it by herself. While she waits, she manages to collect some other pets: a sick cat, a hamster, a big, ugly fish, six smaller fish to keep the big fish company, a turtle, a strong-minded kitten, an unresponsive hermit crab, and a classroom rabbit that seems to be dying. All in Julie's bedroom. But the pet she wants most of all--a Chihuahua--she can't have. What can Julie do to convince her parents that she's ready?
