In this Issue of Illustration, we feature the spectacular art of Mead Schaeffer, perhaps best known for his many covers for the Saturday Evening Post and other illustrations for prominent books and magazines of the '30s and '40s. Rare photographs, tear sheets and original artworks are shown. Our second feature concerns the work of Michael Dolas (also on the cover), a noted slick magazine illustrator during the 1940s and '50s.
