Men Of Mystery Fawcett Fighting Favorites Special #1

Description

A superb compilation of vintage reprints from the biggest stars in Fawcett Comics' 1940's line-up, including Spy Smasher, Commando Yank, Mr. Scarlet, Ibis, and Don Winslow! Comics legends Sultan, Gershwin, Schaffenberger, and Carl Pfeufer lend their artistic talent, plus the Fawcett Fighting Favorites Special includes coverage of the 1942 Republic Pictures Spy Smasher movie serial. Also, the illustrated article on Carl Pfeufer (by comics historian Bill Black) sheds some light on a prolific and skilled (yet little-known) talent of the Golden Age.
