At Zoom's Academy, where extraordinary kids develop their superhero talents, another year is about to begin for Summer Jones. True, she saved the school last year from her villainous Uncle Graves, but Summer still feels self-conscious about having no real superpowers of her own. Instead, she's an Enhancer, meaning she can intensify other students' superhero gifts.

Big deal. Who wants to be the wind beneath someone else's wings!

Then Summer's dad makes a shocking announcement: He's marrying Betty Avian, a flying instructor with a bratty nine-year-old son who has an uncanny knack for taking up residence on Summer's last nerve. After the celebratory engagement dinner leaves Summer's hair looking like a tentacled creature from outer space, she blasts off to the campus in the clouds.

Reunited with her best robot, Clocksprocket; her superpowered pals; and a cool roommate named "The Stylist" - who mercifully fixes Summer's hair-don't - things are looking up. But then a field trip to Planet Ziff puts the students of Zoom's Academy in grave - or, as it turns out, Graves - danger. Now Summer must once again outwit her evil uncle, who is in hot pursuit of a crimson cape that will give its wearer insurmountable superpowers...and the force to take over the world.
