Orders containing New Releases that are submitted in advance (Wednesday through Tuesday evening) for Wednesday new releases are generally shipped Wednesday (the day the books are released). Orders usually ship within 2-3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). These are estimated timeframes and can be affected by inclement weather, sales, holidays, or increased order volume. Please note that problems relating to credit card status or billing information provided by the customer can delay shipping.

Express Mail International: ALL ORDERS GUARANTEED! Arrives within 3 to 5 business days. Online Tracking! Track your order with the link provided on your order confirmation e-mail, or by logging onto "My Account" and "Pending Orders." Express Mail International is our safest and most guaranteed International Shipping Method. This method can be tracked most closely and will provide extra security for your order. The cost is calculated by weight, and as it is quickest, will be more expensive than Priority Mail International shipping or using a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope."

It's less expensive than you might think to ship internationally! Here's a helpful hint: Orders of 10 comics or fewer can usually ship via Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelope which arrives in only 6 to 10 business days at low prices starting at $24.95.. (Please note that this option is not available in all countries and cities). Please note that Priority Mail International Flat-Rate Envelope orders are by necessity shipped in an envelope, not a box, and therefore may arrive with damages we cannot be held accountable for. However, we have generally found this method to be a quick, economical, and safe method of shipping, and we very rarely get complaints about it.
During checkout, you will be given the option to choose between Economy Mail, USPS Priority Mail, and UPS. All domestic orders are often shipped within 24-48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). While we always will work our hardest to get your order shipped within 24-48 hours, there are sometimes periods of high volume; such as Holidays and site-wide sales that could delay processing. Please contact our Customer Service team if you have any questions about when your order may be shipped.
EXCEPTION: New releases ordered in advance will be shipped on Wednesday (new release day). Please note that problems relating to credit card status or billing information provided by the customer can delay shipping.
Economy Mail- While this can be interpreted as a blanket term, we use UPS MAIL INNOVATIONS for Economy Mail. This service is transported from our Warehouse to your local post office via UPS then the last 10% of your order’s journey is handled by your local Post Office.
Shipping Method- You always have a choice while placing an order to choose any of the shipping methods we offer. Economy Mail is the least expensive, but if you’re looking for more secure methods or faster methods of shipping you can always choose: UPS Ground, USPS Priority Mail, or any of the other shipping methods we offer.
For Customers Selecting UPS – UPS only makes deliveries Monday – Friday. If you Select a UPS shipping method please understand that even if it is an expedited method, no delivery will be made on Saturday or Sunday. Example: If an order is shipped via UPS Next Day Air on a Friday, the item will not arrive to its destination until Monday. UPS is unable to ship to PO Boxes, if you’re shipping your order to a PO box please use USPS or Economy Mail.
Qualifying domestic orders of over $89.00 can be shipped free by USPS Economy. Free shipping applies to all domestic orders that are composed only of comic books, graphic novels, books, magazines, and back issues that exceed $89.00 and are being shipped within the 48 Continental United States—simply select the free ECONOMY MAIL shipping option during checkout.
Orders that include statues, toys, apparel, grab bags or other merchandise cannot be shipped for free. If you order over $89.00 in comics, with some merchandise included, select ECONOMY MAIL for a special discounted shipping rate, if ordered for shipment within the 48 Continental United States. Unfortunately, Pre-Orders and international orders do not qualify for free shipping
Some orders are subject to shipping tax. Dependent on local state rules. This will only be applied to the portion of the shipping charge that applies to the taxable items in your order. In accordance with current tax laws within the US, Midtown Comics are required to collect a sales tax on any transaction in a state that has required sales tax collection on ecommerce transactions. Sales tax is automatically calculated based on your order's price, size/weight and shipping address during the 'Checkout' phase of the order. Sales tax may differ from different states as each state may have different rules for what products are taxed along with how much they are taxed. For further information on this feel free to check the local state's ecommerce tax laws on how you will be taxed. *The shipping address will determine sales tax eligibility*
In the event that there will be any delays due to holidays, etc, we will post a notice stating this on the site.
We certainly do! Just choose USA as your country for your shipping address, and you will be charged a domestic rate. We should mention that orders shipped by Economy Mail to APO or FPO addresses are subject to large delays, and we would recommend selecting USPS Priority Mail instead.
Is there a minimum for in-store pick up orders?
· There is a $10 minimum on all in-store pick up orders.
Is every title that I order guaranteed?
· Not every title is guaranteed
Is other merchandise available for in-store pick up, or only comics?
· All merchandise is available for in-store pick up, including action figures, statues, etc.
What is the deadline to pick up my order?
· All orders must be picked up within 90 days of our notification email.
Does this apply to my Customer Rewards account?
· Our in-store Customer Rewards program does not apply (all titles are already discounted online)
Should I check my order before I leave?
· Customer must inspect and approve of order before leaving store (no replacements).
Yes, we use recycled bubble wrap to fill boxes.
In most cases we do. Just put the forwarding service’s address as your order’s ship address. Please note that unless your forwarding service opens your package and reports any damages to us before forwarding it on, we cannot be held responsible for damages sustained in transit.
Midtown Balance will be the place to keep any credit you receive back from Midtown Comics!
Midtown Balance will automatically be applied to your next order.

Prices for Previews items are subject to change. The balance due on these items will be applied to your Midtown Credit system as a negative amount.

There is a $10.00 minimum order, after applicable discounts.
Choose your desired store pick up location (all 4 locations offer in-store pickup), and complete your purchase.
You will receive an email from your selected destination when your order is ready for pick up.
When you arrive for pick up, just ask at the front counter.
We’ll ask to see ID, please wear a mask, and staff will give you your order.

In our response to the COVID 19 Pandemic and delays with the postal service we have extended our claims windows for lost in transit orders.
We apologize that your order has not yet reached you. For all domestic orders we are able to file claims with the postal service if the order has not been marked as "Delivered" 30 days from the ship date. We recommend speaking to the postal service directly to see if they can provide updates before the 30 days have passed. After 30 days please contact our customer service team at email@example.com with your order number and we will assist you right away! Please note all claims must be made within 2 weeks from the about listed time frames so we can assist you.
For international orders that are shipped using either Priority Mail International or Express Mail International we must allow the postal service 60 days from the ship date for the orders to reach you. If the order is not marked "Delivered" within this time please contact our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and we will assist you right away!
If your order is marked delivered and is not received we recommend reaching out to your neighbors to see if they may have seen your order. And you can contact the postal service. We have found that the orders may be delayed or marked as delivered early.. For Domestic orders we must allow up to 14 days from the delivered date to file a claim, and 30 days from the delivered date for International orders. We apologize for any inconvenience or delay, and thank you for your patience as we work to make sure all orders are received. Please note all claims must be made within 2 weeks from the about listed time frames so we can assist you.
Gift cards can be used on many of the amazing items we offer in stores and online. Please know however that they cannot be used on pre-orders, pull-lists, or to purchase other gift cards. To use your gift card please visit log in and upload it under the 'manage gift card' section of your account and select it as a payment method at checkout.
Every comic book is shipped to our customers in a Midtown Comics brand peel-and-stick bag and board, absolutely FREE. Midtown comic book bags are 2.25ga thick polypropylene, and feature a 2-inch re-sealable flap that makes comic book archiving and storage easier than ever. Our boards are acid free and completely archival safe. (Please note that clearance books, grab bags, and odd-sized comics may not be bagged and boarded.)
All of our new release comic books are brand new and in "Near Mint" condition. Please note that Midtown Comics definition of "Near Mint" can be seen by viewing our grading policy, which can be seen here: Midtown Comics Grading Policy.
While we do not grade these we do make every effort to ship the best possible books. These are meant to be reader’s copies and would most closely be graded "good" according to our grading policy which can be seen here: Midtown Comics Grading Policy.
Graphic novels, (including trade paperbacks, hardcovers, and manga) are stored and handled with great care, but may incur minor cosmetic "dents or dings" due to shelf life and we do not offer assistance with any claims for damaged graphic novels.
Yes, all comic books are first printing unless otherwise noted.
Cover art is subject to change by the publisher, without notice, and Midtown Comics is not responsible for such changes and is not responsible to exchange or refund orders for such comics
Action figures, statues, and collectibles are shipped in the condition they were received from the manufacturer/distributor. We guarantee no specific grade. While we guarantee there will be no defects on the product itself, the display box may have limited creases/dents from the shipping process, and we do not consider these to be defects. Action Figures and Statues may or may not ship in the original cardboard box our vendors shipped them in, but will have all original product packaging. All statues are opened to inspect for damages before shipping.
New releases are posted every Thursday for books arriving the following Wednesday.
Yes, new releases can be ordered as soon as they are posted on Thursday. However, any order containing new release books cannot be completely processed until after we actually receive the new books on Wednesday, regardless of what day they are ordered.
Yes you can. However, all items and quantities ordered are subject to availability at the time of fulfillment, and Midtown Comics Online, Inc. reserves the right to limit/reduce the quantity fulfilled, and to modify or cancel any order that cannot be fulfilled, or for any reason. You can order any quantity via Midtown Comics' Pre-Orders module, two months in advance of release date, and orders must be submitted before the cutoff date for a given month.
Due to the collectibility of the comics and merchandise we sell, we are unable to accept returns on comic books, back issues, and books. If you are uncertain about the grade of your comic book, please review our Grading Glossary, which details how Midtown Comics grades all comics. Graphic novels, (including trade paperbacks, hardcovers, and manga) are stored and handled with great care, but may incur minor cosmetic "dents or dings" due to shelf life and we do not offer assistance with any claims for damaged graphic novels. If you still feel you've received a damaged or mis-shipped item, please contact us at email@example.com and we can look into this. Please be aware that we need to be contacted within 2 weeks of the delivery date of an order to resolve any potential order issues.
Returns are accepted within 7 days with receipt for exchange or store credit only, no refunds. Our books are sold "as is" which means no returns or exchanges will be considered.
Unless otherwise noted, all sales are discounted off the list price. In the case of multiple sales applying to the same item, we always take the largest of the discounts. The final price you’re paying will be displayed in your cart.
Yes, email coupons, like our Birthday and our "We Miss You" emails do have restrictions. New Releases, Pre-Orders, and Gift Cards receive no discount, while CGC Graded comics receive a 10% maximum.
When you are logged in to midtowncomics.com, click "wish list" on the desired item, and you will see the item in your account, under "wishlisted." You will be charged for the item only when it comes in and is ready for shipping.
Mystery Boxes will not ship until all are sold or 1 month after release.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal for both domestic and international orders. We don't accept wire transfers at this time.
If you have another credit card, go to My Account and click on "Check Order Status". Click "See Details" for the declined order, then go to "Select A Payment Method" and enter new credit card information.
Yes, all prices are listed in US Dollars.
General Order Information
We ship from our warehouse located at 1403 Fourth Avenue in New Hyde Park, New York.
Orders are processed automatically. Additional items would require a separate order. Shipping of two orders cannot be combined.
Occasionally, an item will be temporarily out of stock; such back-ordered items will be shipped within 30 days at no additional cost. On rare occasions, an item may no longer be available; you will not be charged for such items.
You can verify the status of your order on the site at any point in time by clicking "View Order Status" on your "My Account" page. An explanation for the different status terms follows.

Pending New Releases
Your order is being held because it contain new items that are scheduled for Wednesday release. It will be shipped this coming Wednesday, when the new books arrive.
Your order has not begun processing due to invalid billing information – Please update your account and contact us.
Card is expired or error in billing information. Please contact us.
We always try to keep our inventory and site listings as up to date and correct as possible, but sometimes, an error may occur. We will always try to find a solution that leaves everyone happy, but in the case of an unavailable issue or incorrect solicitation, we may have to refund or adjust your order.
When you submit Pre-Orders, you are placing an order 2-3 months in advance. The items listed in Pre-Orders have not been released yet. After adding items to your cart and checking out, you will have to wait for the item(s) to be released by the publisher or manufacturer. (Release dates are available on each product page, and are subject to change by the publisher or manufacturer). When you place a Pre-Order, we are specifically ordering that item for you meaning even if run out of stock on the site, we still have your copy on reserve. Unfortunately, because Pre-Order items are ordered to match demand, we cannot cancel a Pre-Orders once the Pre-Orders ordering window has closed.
There are three different shipping cycles:
Weekly: Every week, all items released during that week will be packed up and a shipping rate calculated based on our shipping rates table.
Bi-Weekly: Orders will be shipped every two weeks.
Monthly: Pre-ordered items will be bundled up and shipped together every four weeks on a revolving cycle. They will not be bundled up for shipment at the end of every month. Please note that our monthly cycle option does not directly correspond with a calendar month, because some months have five Wednesdays. Monthly shipments will nevertheless always ship four weeks apart.
If you select monthly shipping, you may have to wait for your shipment, but you'll receive more items in one shipment, saving you money on the shipping cost. If you select weekly, you'll get your orders faster, although you'll usually pay more in shipping. Nevertheless, if you're only ordering one item, you're better off with weekly.
We have an all new way of processing Pre-Orders. Instead of paying for the items now and waiting till the order is ready to ship for a shipping charge, you will now receive all shipping charges upfront. Shipping amounts will depend on item release dates and shipping cycle.
If you decide to add more items later on, you will only be charged the difference.
PLEASE NOTE: The new processing method only affects Domestic customers. International customers will continue using the existing method of paying for shipping when the order is ready to ship since we would have to weigh all the items in the order.
Of course! Aside from getting the unbeatable discounts Pre-Orders have to offer, you’ll see your shipping cost upfront - no more wondering how much shipping will cost you when the items are ready to go out. And you now can pay for your entire Pre-Orders (shipping included) with PayPal or your credit card.
Prices for preordered items are subject to change, and on rare occasions we may be forced to adjust a price before filling an order. If the price change is $5.00 or less this will be charged automatically, if it is higher we will reach out to you first! (we give refunds for price drop without asking you first, of course!)
Pull List Information
The Midtown Pull List service offers you the most freedom of any Pull List in the industry. You simply choose ten or more monthly titles, and a shipping frequency, and every issue of your titles will be mailed to you. There's no commitment, and you can cancel at any time with only a couple of days' notice. You can add just about anything on our site to be shipped with your Pull List , all at Midtown's low prices. Qualifying orders get free shipping. You can also do In-store Pick up, at the store location of your choice, for FREE!
Pre-Orders, in contrast, offer much higher discounts, but are locked in two months in advance. Every month you pre-order the items you want at unbeatable prices, and they'll be shipped out to you as they're released.
Domestic: Shipping cost is determined by the dollar amount of your order (your Pull List titles to be shipped this week), like all orders from midtowncomics.com. (Click here to view shipping chart). Free In-Store Pick Up is also available at all our four store locations. Pick up at the store location of your choice with no additional cost.
International: Shipping cost is determined by weight and will be provided during checkout where our shipping calculator will automatically calculate your shipping cost for you . Please note that we do not accept PayPal for Pull Lists.
You can add extra items such as toys, back issues, graphic novels, or just about anything on our site to your Pull List order by placing the item in your shopping cart, opening the cart, and clicking the little blue "plus" icon next to the item. Adding merchandise other than comics, books, graphic novels, or magazines, will eliminate free shipping on orders of $89.00 and above. It’s also available for free In-Store Pick Up at all of our four store locations.
While we unfortunately do not offer this feature to be used on your very first pull, we are happy to say it's available on all pulls thereafter. If you have recently reactivated your pull-list with us- no need to worry- you will be able to add those items to ship with your Pull. We apologize for any inconvenience and wish you happy shopping!
Deadline to make changes: If you want your changes to be effective immediately with this week's releases, submit them before Friday at 12PM EST. Otherwise, your changes will take effect with the titles released the following week.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL CHANGES OR ADDITIONS OF TITLES; THEY MUST BE DONE ONLINE ONCE YOU LOGIN.
E-Mail confirmations: You will receive one only when activating or de-activating your Pull List . To confirm the status of any other changes that you make in your Pull List , refer to your "My Account" page.
Weekly Pull Lists ship every Wednesday, of course, while bi-weekly and monthly Pull Lists ship out every two weeks and every four weeks respectively. Because some months have five Wednesdays in them, the time during the month when a Pull List ships out can change. When your first Pull List shipment is sent out depends on when you start your Pull List , so expect a shipment the first, second, or forth week after starting. Please note that if you start your Pull List after the Saturday deadline, there is a one-week delay in the first Pull List shipment. Also, if you suspend and restart your Pull List this can confuse our system, so if you do this and you’re concerned about when your shipment will arrive, just drop us a line and we’ll be glad to let you know when your shipment will be going out. In-Store Pick Up arrives on Wednesday too, and an email will be sent to you when your order is ready to be picked up.
At Midtown Comics we use Overstreet guidelines for grading and pricing. If you have any questions about an item, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org before purchasing. Midtown Comics uses Overstreet values as a benchmark, but all of our comics are actually priced lower.
We certainly do! If you have any old comics, toys, or collectibles you'd like to sell, please email our buyer at email@example.com. We pay cash, or, for an even better deal, with a Midtown Comics gift card. We're sorry, but we are not currently purchasing sports trading cards.
Some comics are released with codes for additional digital content included, at the discretion of the publisher. We never consider the validity or presence of these digital codes when grading our comics. Additionally, we cannot guarantee that any digital codes present will be unused or still valid in comics older than 30 days.
Customer understands that Midtown Comics, INC. is submitting this book in a prescreened condition to the standards of 9.0 or above. Midtown Comics, INC. is not responsible for the grades that CGC issues, the customer also acknowledges that CGC may issue a lower grade than expected. Any disputes must be addressed with CGC directly and not Midtown Comics, INC. For more information please check out their website www.cgccomics.com.
Customer understands that any claim arising from damaged or lost books shipped to or from CGC will be covered by the insurance policy of the carrier (UPS, USPS, etc.). Customer will hold Midtown Comics, INC. harmless from any liability that may arise from loss, theft or damage of the book/books regardless of insurance claim outcomes from the carrier.
Midtown Comics, INC. is an authorized dealer and facilitator for CGC. Liability commences with Midtown Comics, INC. when your comic books are in our possession and until they are returned and 'signed-for' by you or others authorized by you at the address provided on the Midtown Comics, INC.CGC Submission Form. Midtown Comics, INC. is not responsible for any damage, loss or negligence which occurs outside of this time period.
Should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of the service provided by Midtown Comics, INC. please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org within 5 working days of receipt of goods and we will endeavor to address the problem.
CGC ‘Turn-around’ times are correct at time of going to press. CGC ‘turn-around’ times are subject to change and are dependent on CGC’s workload Midtown Comics, INC. does not have any influence on these ‘turn-around’ times and are therefore not responsible for any changes. We encourage you to keep up to date with any changes as seen within the CGC website for further information.
